A public announcement alongside independent AI answers

An AI visibility assessment asks a concrete question: how does an answer describe your brand when a potential customer researches your category?

Choose questions that reflect buyer research

Use questions about the product category, use case and market you serve. Include comparison and evaluation questions when they match how people choose your product.

Keep the wording consistent. Write down whether the question names your brand or asks about the category without naming it. These tests measure different things.

Record the answer and its context

For each observation, record the question, date, platform, answer and any linked sources. If settings or location affect the test, note them too.

AI answers can vary between runs. Treat one response as one observation. Use repeated, comparable assessments before drawing a broader conclusion.

Separate the signals

A mention means the answer names the brand. A citation means it links or attributes information to a source. A recommendation means it presents the brand as an option for the question asked.

Also review accuracy. An answer can name the company while describing the wrong product, outdated pricing or a former audience. Correct context can matter as much as appearing in a list.

Review the sources

Check what each cited page actually says. Does it contain current company facts? Is it your website, an independent article, a review, a directory or syndicated news?

Use these findings to identify missing information and relevant editorial topics. A source appearing in one answer does not establish that it will be cited in every future response.

Turn the findings into a work plan

Update unclear product pages and outdated company information. Publish useful evidence for the questions customers ask. Research relevant media coverage, then decide whether an announcement or expert contribution would add something useful.

Measure again after those changes. Keep AI answer observations separate from distribution and earned coverage so the report does not imply that one automatically caused the other.
